Inspirational and Motivational Movies for 2025

We are all inspired and motivated by various things at different times in our life. It might be as simple as a parent telling a child good job, your boss recognizing you with an award, a walk thru nature and noticing the miracles around you, practicing your faith, seeing someone overcome obstacles and challenges, teaching someone a new skill and seeing them master it, or even just watching a great sporting event or movie.

During the Holidays and as we prepare for a New Year, I have been asking family and friends for their favorite inspirational and motivational movies. What are yours? Add them to this post. Below is a sampling of what I heard and why people said they fit this category - some I have watched multiple times and some are new to me and I added them to my watch list.

• “Miracle” The power of uniting to be a Great Team (USA, USA…)
• “The Intouchables” Disabilities and challenges don’t have to limit your life (warning subtitles 😊)
• “Cool Runnings” Self esteem and belief in yourself matters
• “Apollo 13” Ingenuity, quick thinking, and teamwork can overcome unexpected challenges
• “Invincible” Hard work and perseverance can overcome impossible odds
• “McFarland, USA” Push past your limits and work together
• “Hidden Figures” Overcoming racism and misogyny with perseverance, integrity and teamwork
• “Forest Gump” Embrace the opportunities (and challenges) that come your way
• “Chariots of Fire” Victory thru moral courage and self-sacrifice
• “The Chosen” The importance of faith, love and tolerance
• “Rocky” the original. Who hasn’t seen this and not tried to do more push-ups or run harder?

This list of what I heard from people just scratches the surface and I tried to have  variety and not just sports movies which would be a very long list: Rudy, Remember the Titans, The Natural, Hoosiers, et al.
